• 2017 Buick Verano

Well, at least the one for the Chinese market. Not sure yet if GM will pull a “2016 Cruze” on us and design a specific car for the US. At least, the grille should be different, since our new Lacrosse has a new design. One that matches the Opel grille better. (So it’s now even… Continue reading 2017 Buick Verano

  • 2017 Fiat Punto

So it looks like Marchionne is not killing Fiat. (Just Chrysler and Dodge…) There is finally a new Punto coming up. The current model (The green one) has been out since 2005! And still looks fine. (That’s what a good, simple Italian design does: it lasts) The interesting thing in these pictures? They were taken… Continue reading 2017 Fiat Punto

  • Opel GT Concept

From the teaser video we saw just a few days ago, I was expecting “Opel is reinventing itself”. And “don’t miss what happens next”. Well, that GT Concept is not happening next, I can tell you that much. There are some interesting things here, for sure. Like the colored windows on the outside, the way… Continue reading Opel GT Concept

  • 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster

For the new year, Porsche is replacing the Boxster convertible with a new model called the “718 Boxster”. It is not an all new car, as you can see (The current model is in blue. The new one on top) It now just looks a little bit sharper, and still great.  Same thing from the… Continue reading 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster

  • Mazda CX-4

Which might also be called the CX-6 or CX-7. Although I have heard it is mostly based on the Mazda3. So CX-4 would make more sense. And, who really cares what it is called anyway. It just looks like another great looking Mazda on the way.

  • Volvo S90L

Because, China. Where long wheelbase versions of sedans (and pretty much everything else) are very popular. So, of course, there will be a long version of the new S90. About 4 inches longer. Not sure if we will se this here or not. But it’s not impossible. Since we are already getting the long version… Continue reading Volvo S90L

  • WTF???

These are pictures of a Japanese version of the all new 2016 Toyota Prius. So I am not sure if this particular color is available in the US or not. Still… Just look at this mess. I have to say, I am not anti Prius. At all. I actually liked the design of the previous… Continue reading WTF???

  • Mazda CX-4

This is pretty interesting. Basically a production version of last year’s great looking Koeru concept. It is smaller than the CX-5 for a bit larger and sportier than the CX-3. And, unlike BMW’s X4 and X6 series, which end up looking bloated , this looks very nice. So far, people at Mazda are describing it… Continue reading Mazda CX-4

  • No Future for the Avenir

You can stop dreaming. Buick said there will not be a production version of the amazing Avenir concept from last year. The 2017 Lacrosse is the closest thing we’ll get… Sad, but realistic. Since the Avenir would have been built on the same platform as the new Cadillac CT6. And it would have killed the… Continue reading No Future for the Avenir

  • Hyundai Ioniq

Just a few new pictures. It is still not out yet. And again, this should be a huge hit. Offering Hybrid, Plug-in and full electric versions. Since the “ugly as sin” new Prius makes the previous one look like Marilyn Monroe, the Ioniq should be a welcome addition to the market place.  Something for people… Continue reading Hyundai Ioniq

  • Road trip!

After getting this yesterday, I’ve decided to get out a town for a couple of days. A fantastic drive so far…

  • 2017 GMC Acadia MPG

GM is claiming 22 city and 28 HWY for the new Acadia with the newly available 2.5 Liter engine. All I can tell you is: no way. During a week with the Equinox, (Using that same engine) all I was able to get around town was 18. And yes, around 27/28 on the freeway. So… Continue reading 2017 GMC Acadia MPG
