2010 Mazda CX7

I always liked the look of the CX7, and at least they didn’t ruin it. At least for me.

Besides a new face, it gets the new Mada6 2.5 Liter with 161hp as a base engine.
A good idea.
The Turbo motor is still available. Still with 244hp.

  4. As an owner of the CX7 – I can attest to the fact that there is nothing wrong w/ their reliability. In fact, it is MILES ahead of the Murano I used to drive.

  6. No, they haven’t done anything about the poor reliability from faulty rear diffs to leaking turbo seals.

    This thing looks just as goofy and cartoonish as the new 3. Mazda is ruining their lineup.

    personally, i like the cx9 interior better with the wrap-around cockpit. i feel like i am sitting ‘in’ the car instead of ‘on’ it in the cx7.

  9. Its about time they did something about the engine. I love the hp of the turbo but the gas mileage is horrendouse.

    It doesn’t even compete with the RDX.

    Not only is the RDX perform better, more reliable, have better resale value, a better dealer network and service. Well, I’ll just stop there.

    The CX-7 has nothing on the RDX at all. Please do some research.

  11. Mangia la visa is dead on. I drove both, I can’t even remember what that acura/crv thingy is called. Acura was buzzy, cheap and plain old garbage. I bought the Mazda and saved a bundle and got a much superior vehicle. That honda salesperson that was so offended made a fool of themselves, just go drive a mazda jimmy!

  12. whos the complete ignorant shameless fool that is supporting the acura ( whatever they call it). Compare the specs. The Mazda , not to mention is soooooo much prettier, but it’s also bigger, quieter, more horsepower, great dealer network without the hoidy toidy nose in the air ( a la acura snobs) etc……………

    That’s why the RDX is outselling the CX-7, right? Because the RDX is so forgettable and such a piece of cheap garbage it is outselling the CHEAPER CX-7. Yeah, it is garbage alright.

    Do some research and educate yourself. Oh, and while your at it please go look up the owner satisfaction for the CX-7 in Consumer Reports, let me know what you discover. (I’ll give you a hint: It is very poor.)

    Looks are completely subjective, you tool. Do you know what subjective means? Do I have to explain that for you?

    Should I explain to you that more horsepower doesn’t always mean it is a fast vehicle? It is slower, who cares if it has more horsepower. It is a LOT slower actually.

    The CX-7 is marginally larger than the RDX, not enough to make a big difference at all. As for actual cargo capacity, it is about even. A couple of cubic feet means absolutely nothing in terms of outright space.

    Mazda dealer network is a joke for a baseline brand. Acura has just about as many dealers as Mazda and it is a luxury marquee.

    I am telling you nobody does research anymore.

  16. Looks nice. What will the CX-9 look like? The ONLY reason I didn’t by a CX-9 last time around is that my trailer is 3900 lbs.

  17. I wont act like I know anything about the Acura because I haven't done research. But I know a little about the networks since I live in ND and we have a mazda dealer in every major city and then some yet we only have 1 Acura dealership in the State.

    But in Acura's defense I think they are known for making a better car all around. Mazda has the right idea. Hopefully they caught the bugs of of last CX7 releases.

  18. for the price they're offering, the cx-7 is very underrated. In fact, overall sales doesn't translate into a better car/better value…c'mon, there are so many people who buy cars based on the name/luxury perception associated with it.
