More Scirocco/Corrado info.

This is just to answer some of you who wanted to know more about the old VW Scirocco and Corrado.

This is the 1st generation. It came out in 1974 in Europe, and a year later in the States.
It was based on the 1st Golf, called the Rabbit in the US.
It was designed by Giugiaro and was intended to replace the Karmann Ghia.

The second generation came out in 1982.
And was sold until 1988 in the US.

The Corrado was just a new Scirocco with another name. It was sold in the US from 1990 to 1994.

A new Scirocco is due for 2008.

I also want to remind everyone, a little too late, that this is the best week of the year to get a good deal on a new car. Dealers are desparate to get the best overall sale numbers for the year.
Usually, best deals are on the most popular cars, who are fighting for a number one sales spot. Like the Camry or Accord.
But I have also seen up to about $5000 discounts on the new Sonata.

Good luck and thanks to all the readers who have been with me for the past year.
Next year will be even better.
