2016 Renault Talisman

Last Updated:

The all new Talisman replaces the Laguna sedan.
A new name, for what looks to be a more upscale model.

It almost looks German.

  1. Hyundai Sonata + Kia Optima = Renault Talisman. No explanation needed as it is visually evident in these picture.

  2. This is nicely done, and not overdone. Exterior seems to blend and refine bits and pieces of other cars: Impala, Sonata, Passat, Audi, Infiniti, Chrysler 200, etc., into a fresh, graceful and bold design with its own original flair and details: fierce face, elegant wheels, piercings at rear bumper corners, etc. German-looking, yet with sculpting and curves. Cool name, too.

  3. The exterior's derivative, but it's a better-looking car than many others in its class. It has some nice individual details, too.

Derivative may not be a bad thing for Renault. Their boldly styled models haven't been a huge success (Vel Satis, anyone?)

It may just be the trim combination shown in the pics, but the interior seems quite attractive.

So overall, a decent effort. I wonder how it'll drive?
