New Fiat 500

Just like the Mini, the 500 is a giant next to its ancestor.

However, the black one is Italian whereas the new version is a Polack.

To put this into perspective, have you seen what a Smart looks like next to a 500?

The original Trepiuno concept car on which it is based was only 3,3 m (130 in) long, but in the transition to production it has grown a whopping 25 cm (10 in), due to safety requirements and having being adapted to the existing Fiat Panda platform. Still, it's 15 cm (6 in) shorter than the Mini, and, more importantly, Fiat insists that it will be much cheaper.

And a giant improvement. Safety, comfort, and refinement come at a price. But it's still adorable.
