All new VW Tiguan

All we can see now are these super exaggerated official sketches.
The real thing will be the usual "VW Conservative" look.
(Although that also means it will age quite well.)

And, just like the Golf, it will be more of a real German car. Since the same version will be sold in Europe. (Even though the ones sold here will be built in Mexico)
Unlike the "pure US" Passat. And the "US favorite" Jetta.

The Golf has been quite popular here lately. And that's because it is the most German VW sold here.
(Except that old CC and Touareg)
The new Tiguan could do the same thing. A true "German feeling" alternative to the Japanese crowd of small crossovers.

I tested the current model last year, and was quite impressed. It is a really nice driving car.
This should be even better, and cheaper.

All new Hyundai Elantra

From the factory floor.

As you can see, it is still a very nice looking car.
But, just like the new Sonata, it does look a bit more conservative. Although not as "old" as it's larger brother. (The Sonata does look like an old person car now)

Inside. It is way more conservative than before. Like a smaller Sonata.
But quality might be up. And frankly, when compared to a Jetta, it almost looks futuristic.

Official pictures coming up very soon.

2017 VW Tiguan?

This looks like it could be.

As it seems a bit small for that "upcoming" (whenever that is) production version of the US Crossblue concept.

This seems much shorter. And I hear an all new Tiguan is just around the corner (finally)

Not much to look at. And I bet it won't look much better without all that camo paint.
Another boring (they call it conservative) design from VW. For their fans.

But, I must admit. that conservative approach seems to work. Since these "boring Jettas" still look quite fine a couple of generations later.
The boring stuff does end up aging quite well...

More pix of the new 2017 Kia Sportage

That front end is still pretty bad. Even on this cheaper model (no LEDs)
It still looks too busy. And that grille just does not belong there...

The side looks like a more muscular version of the current design.
And the interior seems nice. But quite uninspired.

Since it is based on the same platform as its cousin the Hyundai Tucson, it should be quite good.
As the new Tucson has been getting amazingly good reviews.

2017 Hyundai Elantra

I'd say so far so good.

Sure, it looks a lot (a lot!!!) like the current one.
But it doesn't look worse or more boring (Like the new Sonata does to me)

The current Elantra really is one of the bet looking car in its class. The design aged really well.

This new one at least doesn't seem to ruin things.

Now let's wait for some interior pictures...

2016 Kia Sportage

I drove the current model for a week a few years ago and was actually pretty impressed.
Plus, it looked really good. And pretty original compared to most of its competition.
( I think it still looks great)

This "next" one is basically a new design on the same theme. Just like what they did with the new Optima sedan.
But, just like with the Optima, it lost a lot in the redesign.
It's not as simple, pure. It has way too many lines now. The grille is also separated. (Trying to make it look more aggressive???)
The really cool thick chrome line on the C-pillar is gone.

This kind of looks like a Chinese copy of the current design.
It's not as mature at all.

So far, not a big fan....

UPDATE:
After looking at recent spy photos. These above do look fake.
Especially that side window leading to there C-Pillar.
So, there is still hope ....

2016 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible

Looking really good!

What a nice blend of modern and retro. (Except for that spoiler...)

As mentioned earlier, it now has a fully automatic top. Something the Mustang doesn't offer.

It looks really slick. But visibility looks to be even worse than the current model.
This could be quite a pain to drive in rainy days...

2016/17 Toyota Land Cruiser

Not sure if this is the "big" Land Cruiser we know here in the US.
Or the smaller one for Europe, which is a Toyota version of out Lexus GX.
(This is obviously a European version of something...)

Either way it's pretty... Old looking. To say the least.
This feels like a previous generation Lincoln Navigator. At best. Or something from the late 80's.

I can't tell if it is all new either.

Not something I am looking forward to see in the streets...

2016 Chevrolet Camaro

We will see the whole thing tomorrow, but for not, this is it.
From some CNBC promo.

Well... It looks like a Camaro. Like they had told us, it's not really a new look. (Even though it is a brand new design off a new platform)

-New base engine is a 2.0 Liter Turbo with 270hp
-New 3.6 Liter V6 option with 330hp
-6.2 Liter V8 with 440hp

Much more on this very soon.
