What could have been: Ford Mustang

This is a prototype of a Mustang model from 1966.
Not sure what model this was supposed to be. Or if it was intended as just a show car.

These headlights were obviously not legal yet in the 60s. The look like they were taken from a German Ford, like a Taunus or Capri.

But the overall look resembles the larger 1971 model. 5 years before it came out.
It actually feels like a cross between the 67 and the 71.
And I must say, the "HotWheel" wheels look pretty cool..

Here is what the Mustang ended up looking like in 1971.
I still do like that straight fastback design.

Future Alfa Romeo Coupe???

These were sent to me by a reader from Europe.

Not sure what they are really.
It's obviously an Alfa. And it has 2 doors.

Otherwise who knows.
It's also obviously not a production model because of the lack of real side mirrors.

A few years ago the car that was going to share a platform with the Miata was going to be an Alfa.
But since Sergio had said that "no Alfa will be built outside of Italy", that couldn't work out.
So it became the Fiat 124 we have now.

I just wonder if this was a design for that still born Alfa model.
But Sergio had also said a sport coupe/convertible was still coming from Alfa. (NOT based on the Miata)
So this could be a preview of that...

What do you think??

2017 Honda Odyssey?

Just a few more pictures of that Minivan prototype spied in the L.A area.

I was told it was the next Honda Odyssey. Which does make sense.
So I guess next year's big news will be the battle of minivans, between the new Odyssey and the new Town & Country...

More pix of the new 2017 Kia Sportage

That front end is still pretty bad. Even on this cheaper model (no LEDs)
It still looks too busy. And that grille just does not belong there...

The side looks like a more muscular version of the current design.
And the interior seems nice. But quite uninspired.

Since it is based on the same platform as its cousin the Hyundai Tucson, it should be quite good.
As the new Tucson has been getting amazingly good reviews.
