2020 Cadillac CT4 Price

The new small Cadillac sedan will start at $33 900.
Which, I think, is a bit too much for the current market...

As it is only about $3000 less that the larger CT5.
That CT5 is almost $10 000 less than the car it replaces, the CTS. Which is pretty aggressive pricing from GM.
But the CT4 is only about $2500 less than the ATS it replaces.
Still a decent price drop, but nothing great.
I personally think it should have started closer to $30 000 to have a better chance.

While the CT4 is not an all new car ( a heavily revised ATS, using the same glass for both cars), I think it looks quite nice.
And actually priced right when compared to the much more expensive competition.
A base Audi A4 starts at over $37 000
Even the Lexus IS starts at over $38 000. (That's crazy...)
The new Genesis G70 seems to be closer at around $35 000.

AWD is quite an expensive option on all Cadillac CT4 models at $2600.

2017 Lincoln Continental pricing.

It will start at $45 500.
It includes a 300hp V6.
Since its main competition might be the new Cadillac CT6 (Although the Cadillac seems larger), it is interesting to know that is is about $9000 less.

It seems that Lincoln is actually thinking of the Audi A6 being their main competition.
If so, they need to brace themselves for some bad news.
As I cannot really imagine anyone considering an A6 stepping into a Lincoln dealer.
Like I mentioned many times, German car buyers just want their German cars and the image associated with it.
( I think it is wrong and narrow minded, but that's how it is...)

I see this more as a competition to the super boring Acura RLX. Or maybe the Infiniti Q70.
And let's not forget the all new, and quite stunning, Volvo S90 which starts at $48 000.

I saw the car in the flesh and that front grille is as bad as it looks on pictures.
Again, what the hell were they thinking after really good designs like the MKX and MKC.
( I guess these will also get ruined next year with the ugly face.)

On other notes, the revised 2017 MKZ (With that ugly face) will start at $35 935. Hybrid and V6 are both the same price (A nice touch)

Volvo S90 US pricing.

The all new Volvo sedan will start at $46 950 in the US.
That gets you a 250HP T5 model.
The 316HP T6 model goes for $52 950.

Now, lets compare that to its competition:
-Mercedes E-Class $52 650 (The "old" 2016 model)
-BMW 5 series $50 200
-Audi A6 $46 200
-Lexus GS $45 615
-Cadillac CT6 $53 495

So the Volvo is pretty much in the middle/lower end of the pack.
(I was hopping for a little bit better pricing. )
That also means that the gorgeous V90 wagon will be almost $50 000 to start. Since it is priced at about $3000 more than the sedan in Europe.

2017 Fiat 124 Spider European price

The European press is reporting a 34 000 Euros price for the new Fiat Convertible.
Which is about 4000 Euros more than the equivalent 160HP version of the Mazda Miata.
(A cheaper, less powerful version is also available over there)
The Lusso model would be 2500 Euros more.

In the US, the Miata starts at $25 700. Using the same math, it would put the Fiat at around $30 000.

I think that is a lot.
I am really not sure Fiat can charge much more than the Miata over here.
It doesn't have such a great image to begin with...

Of course, it does depend on equipment etc... And how Fiat wants to position the car in the market.

Audi A8 VS. Cadillac CT6

cadillac ct6 audi a8 new compare profile

First, let me apologize for picking on the CT6 so much. I do liked GM and Cadillac.
But really, I was expecting so much from their "top of the line" model. Especially after all these amazing looking concepts.
Needless to say, I am very disappointed . So there.

I am comparing it to the A8 for 2 reasons. They both have that 3 windows side design.
And, so far, I never really liked the A8. I thought it was always the most boring looking choose in a luxury sedan.
Until now. Until I saw the CT6.
I mean look at both cars. The current A8 came out in 2009 and it looks more modern than the "not even out yet" Cadillac.
The difference will be even greater when the next A8 comes out. (Unless Audi ruins it like they did with the Q7)

But inside, I must say, I do prefer the Cadillac.
It's not a matter of color. ( I couldn't find an official shot with a black interior for the Audi)
But I really hate that big "brush metal strip" Audi is using more and more.
(It is even worse in the new Q7 and upcoming A4) I mean the whole thing almost looks like a mess.

So basically, I'd rather be inside the CT6.
(Maybe you could keep your eyes closed until you get inside your car ?)

It will also depend on price.
If the same crazy guys who decided the ELR is worth $75 000 are in charge of pricing the CT6, they are in trouble.
The slow selling CTS starts at about $40 000 (After a price drop their new CEO said would never happen)
So this could maybe start at $50 000. Or $55 000 at the most.
If they think they can demand the same $74 000 as the Audi A8, all I can say is: Good luck...
