All new 2017 Jeep SUV

These are new pictures of the long awaited model that will be replacing both the Patriot and the Compass.

So this is supposed to be larger than the Renegade but smaller than the Cherokee.
I am not sure what that really means. The Cherokee isn't that much larger than the Renegade to begin with.
But I guess Fiat's Boss is crazy about Jeep being such a cash cow. (For now)
So there will be plenty of new SUV's under the Jeep name.

So far so good. The spy shots have been showing a nice design.
Like a small Grand Cherokee.

VW Tiguan 7 seater (?)

Looks like it could be it.
(the regular 5 seater version is the grey one bellow)

Although it doesn't really look longer. At all.It almost looks like a slightly different version of the regular model.

I must say, the new Tiguan does look quite good.
In a "conservative way".

And I am sure it will be a much bigger hit in the US than the current version.
It is a bit larger and should be cheaper too.

This might very well become the best seller for them over here.  As the Jetta is running out of steam...

All new 2017 Acura CDX

As you can see, this one is also for the Chinese market.

It seems Honda has been making a push for Acura in China lately.
Trying to compete with European brands like Audi, BMW, Mercedes. But also Buick and PSA's DS brand.
So they are basically coming out with Acura versions of everything Honda makes.

This is supposedly based on the Honda HR-V.
Although it looks closer to the next generation CR-V.
(You can see some CR-V spy shots HERE)

It is rumored to be powered by a 1.5 Liter Turbo. Which sounds similar to the current Civic.
And, again, what the next CR-V might be getting.

An HR-V based model sound pretty small for a luxury brand.
(Although I guess it would compete with the all new Audi Q2.)
It seems a CR-V based one would attract a larger audience. Competing with a bunch of other crossovers from Audi, Mercedes, BMW and more.
Plus, the size would fit better the US market.
It would really compete with the Lexus NX over here.

Whatever it is, it does look pretty boring.
And really, is that new grille an improvement over the old shield?
I don't think so.
It has a weird cheap 80's look to me.

Acura is another brand that needs to stand out a bit. And they don't. Year after year getting lost in the shuffle. Coming up with one invisible car after another.
Look at the Mercedes GLA.
A truly modern looking crossover from a luxury brand. It looks like nothing else yet sells like hotcakes!

Acura does need more. And it all starts with great designs.

Toyota teases new Prius model

The picture on top is the tease.
The bottom one is the regular 2016 Prius.

Some say this is just the Plug-In version. But I don't think Toyota would redesign the whole rear of the car for just the Plug-in version.
Even brand new lights.

Others suggest it might be the new Prius V.
That could be. Although Toyota has hinted recently that the new Rav4 Hybrid might actually replace the Prius V in their line up.

Could it be a sporty coupe? A sedan?

What do you think???

2017 Honda Odyssey

Apparently, this is actually the next Honda Odyssey for 2017. (So I've been told)

It is still pretty covered up. And it looks like... A minivan.
So don't except anything original.

So far I think the best looking one out there is the new Kia Sedona. Which does have a really nice, almost non-minivan, interior.
