2022 Jeep Compass: that mid-cycle refresh…

Last Updated:

Not looking very new. It seems only current owners will be able to recognize the 2022 Jeep Compass from the current one.
At least from outside…
The interior is expected to get more changes. Including a big tablet screen stuck on the dash (you can actually see it in the top spy shot)
More very soon…

  1. I had this for 4 months until it was finally terminated as a lemon.
The biggest interior problem was the awful no thrills wiper stalks on the left hand side of the steering wheel. Not only did it lack setting features but it felt very flimsy. The same was true with the the plastic sounding the push button start. You can see that FCA spent little money or care with the overall quality and design.
Their 2.4 L 4 was also felt very cheap when it came to power and old.
With wiring harnesses needing to be replaced several times, I was kind of glad I didnt have to deal with that motor again.
FCA can do much better and build the dam thing in the US.

  2. It always amazes me how Chrysler gets away with these extended vehicle lifecycles, 10 years is common, with only minor changes along the way. This Compass came out for the 2017 model year, and 5 years later this tiny change to the front end. Meanwhile most other automakers have done a full redesign.

  3. The Compass came out in like 2017. 5 MCE is 2022. they changed the front minimally but the big change is in the Interior. MID CYCLE Means 5 year refresh!!!! not a full redesign. (1o year).
