2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Sport: a few changes...

At least visually, there isn't a lot of new stuff for the 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Sport.
(pix 1,3 and 5 are the new one)
The basic 'new plastic parts' mid-cycle facelift.
Even less inside. Where the screen now adds a couple of knobs. But not much else.

The biggest disappointment is the new plug-in hybrid model will NOT be coming to the US. That would have been a great way to make the small Mitsubishi SUV stand out. But it seems Mitsubishi is fine just being a forgotten brand over here...
What we will be getting is the same 1.5 Liter engine with a CVT.

So this is not really anything new. Expect for thinner lights upfront.
Mitsubishi really needs to try harder if they want to stay alive. At least in our market...

You do see that the whole back is completely new right?

There actually is a decent change inside - the nav screen is now a touchscreen and the track pad is gone. Also new HVAC controls.

And again, you do see that the entire back of the SUV is new right?

Probably fewer Aztec comparisons in future with smoothed rear end. Meh. Assume this will be one of last Mitsu designs as rejiggered Nissan-Renaults take over. If there is a Mitsubishi in the U.S.

You do see that the name is actually Eclipse Cross, right?
