2021 Nissan Rogue: new picture!

Last Updated:

I hate to say, but this all-new Rogue seems to have even less personality than the current model.
At least on this new official photo.
So far it has that “generic crossover” look that could be from anyone.
The front end seems OK. Although the lower lights are really big and look a bit weird.
This is kind of disappointing. Nissan does need a big hit with this. It is going against the super-popular Rav-4 and Honda CR-V. Both still great choices in the segment.
The new Hyundai Tucson will probably look much better than this. With a great 1.6 Liter Turbo/7 speed powertrain too.
I know it is too early to judge, but I really think Nissan needed more…

These are leaked photos of the new Rogue I had posted weeks ago. While the interior seems to be quite an improvement, the exterior. Not so much…

More on the new Rogue very, very soon.

  1. It’s official, Vince is blind as a bat. This thing looks amazing and is sure to be a huge seller for Nissan. It’s the shot in the arm the company needs right now. Now if only they’d show us the new Pathfinder. C’mon Nissan, what are you waiting for?

  2. Not sure what you're talking about, this looks very modern and we'll proportioned. Better than the CR-V, RAV4 and CX5 in looks for sure

  3. I am kind of with Vince on this one. The front end looks much more contemporary, but everything after the A-pillar looks to be the same ole Rogue. Seems like they might have copied Hyundai, who copied Jeep with the lower set headlight design. While I like the design, this configuration seems to be the new trend. The interior is a monumental improvement.

  4. wow!!! this is very impressive. it looks very strong and solid in execution. it looks like a mercedes or bmw competitor. well done Nissan Hyundai or Kia or toyota and honda will to keep up with this gorgeous vehicle.

  5. perfection of the highest order…yes it will be a major volume unit. and I'm told structural rigidity and torsional bending stiffness are the highest in the segment. meaning quiet and smooth and very solid!!!!

  6. I'm not a fan of boxy designs, looking at your VW for god sake buy a protractor to go along with the ruler, but not hating this. I will reserve final judgement until I see other angles and in person.

Ohh and the last poster, it's funny that a guy named Fart has a comment starting with YUCK. The irony…………. 🙂

  7. It's got the same level of "meh" as any other compact crossover. Does anyone buy these for their sexy styling anyway? It's pretty much "does the carseat fit in the back seat."

  8. The same Nissan fanboy is pretending to be different people putting fake positive replies here. Probably a Nissan dealer or a nissan planted reply bot.

  9. I think you are being too kind by describing its appearance as "generic crossover." This thing is beyond hideous.

  10. Nissan quilted seats that looked like it came from the Bentley and Rolls Royce models. Adds to the upscale look much better then the CX-5. The exterior looks close to the X3. If it close to the competitors in price it will take a lot of market share. ?Nissan needs sales and high profits too!

  11. I see Nissan designers are a big part of your audience, Vince. Waiting for the Murano Crosscabriolet Burlapp Edition.

  12. Just a suggestion, Vince. If you don't like these useless spam comments posted by the same Nissan shill, you should try to MODERATE the comment section. Mind-blowing idea, i know, but give it a try.

  13. soooo some readers don't like freedom of speech, when they don't agree with a poster and call for Vince or bully Vince to moderate….hmmmm

  14. The Nissan JUKE was the first one with those type of lights, and this Rogue took design cues from the Nissan X Motion Concept Vehicle and not a hyundai🤦‍♂️😆.
