2021 Nissan Frontier

Last Updated:

Not sure if this is real or not. But it does look quite convincing…

It looks like Nissan will not be going for a more “car-like” look for the new Frontier.
That will be the new Hyundai Santa Cruz’s job. As this already looks like a macho/square classic truck.

The current generation was introduced in 2004 (!!)
I guess Nissan’s new design wasn’t ready last year, but the new engine/transmission was.
Somehow they couldn’t wait and refreshed the old generation with the new powertrain for 2020.

Now the new design seems finally ready. So we already know it will be powered by a 3.8 Liter V6 and a 9-speed auto. Already available now.

More on this very soon.

  1. looks promising indeed. Chiselled/square/solid looking. The current Frontier is a tank, very solid. This will be an amazing truck I feel as it has the new engine and transmission as well as the new design . I see some Ford/and some jeep Gladiator/ and other unique cues. we will see

  2. Nissan is starting to show some glimpses into their very near future. I see a changed /transformed company. They have stepped up hugely in interiors ( see new sentra and altima) and we know there are Murano….Rogue….Kicks….Pathfinder and this Amazing looking pickup all just around the corner. I think we will see a prosperous company here. Nissan dealers must be excited!

  3. The 2004 model was still selling well. I like it for it price and body on frame construction. Nissan has made another bobo in offering a new Frontier with a car chassis. Will cost much more and have more competition too!

  4. hello Harry, maybe you can try researching prior to posting. Not only is it a full boxed ladder frame, it will have the strongest frame in bending stiffness and torsional rigidity than any truck currently available today . No where does it say or suggest otherwise. so for you, its a Full Frame! Full Solid Truck Frame.

  5. Harry, the current truck was originally a 2005 MODEL launched in December 2004, NOT a 2004 model. Get it right.
