Of course, these are super exaggerated…
They really make you think the new optima is a hatchback. This illustration just shows about zero room for a regular trunk opening.
So weird…
Still, the front and real light design does seem quite interesting.
I guess we will be seeing much more of this very soon.

Exactly, and it is not even close to this way over exaggerated teaser. Too bad.
This trunk may be as in the Brazilian 2020 Hyundai HB20S, which has a gigantic rear window, but part of that is fake, only a black piano paint on the trunk opening, so it looks like a huge window.

I remember when press sketches used to be impressive (and better than the real thing). These look like they were drawn by a 9 year old. Maybe they're hiring the designers' kids to save money.
IF ONLY the cars actually looked like these drawings! As it is, when you see the actual car, it's super disappointing. (Certainly true in the new Optima's case.)
