2018 Mustang GT Convertible

Last Updated:

Zero surprises here. Since it gets all the changes we just saw a few days ago on the 2018 Mustang.
With its sad face and droopy eyes.

  1. To be honest, it looks way better as a convertible.
Ps: this is your seventh post on a simple refresh of the Mustang. I think it's enough,Vince.

  2. The Mustang is beginning to suffer the same fate as so many others these days.

Disjointed, incongruous lines… Shapes that are asymmetrical to the overall flow…

It's time for Ford to dial it back. Time to return to a cohesive, focused presentation – instead of a mass jumble of conflicting styles.

Sorry, but to my eye, this is a mess.

  3. You are right.
I thought the 2006 design was fantastic. And very simple!
The 2010 redo was still very nice. It stared getting bad in 2012. With a weird new grille that didn't feel part of the car.
And more black plastic bits in the rear.
I don't hate the 2014 redesign, but never warmed up to it…

You are right, they do need to get back to basics.

Maybe the all new one for 2020? (Which will include a Hybrid version)

  4. If you think this looks messy, you should see the Prius. You'll probably have a seizure if you stare at it for too long.
