2016 Kia Sorento

Last Updated:

This is, of course, just a teaser image from Kia.
But it does look really good.

And pretty original for once. Trying to be a bit different.

The Sorento has been a big hit for Kia so far. It won’t take much to keep it going strong.
Glad ( I mean blad) to see they are still taking some chances and aren’t just copying the current one. (At least inside)

  1. Slightly confused. Kia just introduced a new 2014 Sorento, which I thought was their migration to the new lighter 5 passenger Santa Fe Sport chassis. Now they have another new Sorento? Perhaps this is a real 7 seater like the Santa Fe to go along with the current Sorento.

  2. From Car and Driver:
Is it Korean modesty, or a compliment to the designer of the original? Whatever the reason for carrying over the sheetmetal of its predecessor, few will take note of the fact that the 2014 Kia Sorento is virtually a brand-new vehicle. Launching a few months after its Korean-built counterpart in Europe, the U.S.-built Sorento receives an entirely new chassis, new infotainment functions, and a top-of-the-line 290-hp V-6.

Sounds like a new design to me.
