Smart Forvision Concept

This looks like a preview of the next Smart Fortwo.
Which could come out in less than a couple of years.

Smart does need something new. Anything...
It looks fine to me, for a Smart. Except for the weird surface treatment on the doors, that make the car look like it was in ann accident.

And they do need something that also gets better mileage.
Currently, the model offered in the US is rated at 41HWy and 33 City. Which isn't really good at all for such a small car.
What they need is to make this an electric car. Or at least a hybrid. I got over 50 MPG on the freeway with a Golf TDI. And 32/33 in the city.
And man larger cars do get 40 HWY.

It's time for something much better from Smart...

2012 Honda Euro-Civic

First official picture of the all new Honda Civic for Europe.
Looking really nice so far.
And about a million times better than the sad looking one we're getting over here.

More on the all new Euro Civic very soon....

land Rover DC100 Concept

This new Concept is quite interesting as it is supposed to show us what the next Defender would look like in a couple of years.

It's OK, but it doesn't really say Land Rover to me.

I think the new Defender should be a modern version of the classic, but still should be instantly recognisable.
Like the classic Jeep.

This doesn't do it...

Ford Evos Concept

While the interior is pure concept crazy/goofy, the more realistic exterior could give us some clues about upcoming production models.
Is the front end similar to the next Mondeo?
Is a coupe in the works?

That sort of things.
An interesting design for sure...

2013 Nissan Altima?

This was just sent to me, so I thought I'd share it.

Looks like it could be an early look at the next Altima. It does, kind of, match the spy shots of the actual car that we saw a few days ago.
The next Altima is supposed to be getting an all new Hybrid system, similar to the one used in the new Infiniti M Series. Excet it will use a 4 Cylinder instead of a V6.
There are also rumors about a 2.0 Liter Turbo. (Just like everyone else these days).
So the base engine could become the 1.6 Liter Turbo with 190hp. And the V6 might disappear.

We'll see more about the new Altima very soon anyway.
Looks like another great choice in the mid-sized segment is coming up soon.

The wild card might be the all new Accord next year....Will they pull another "New Civic" pathetic move?

All new Fiat Panda

These are finally the 1st official pictures of this new Fiat.
This is now the 3rd generation, and it does look more refined than ever.
While still a bit corky and very modern.

Usually we wouldn't care much a bout a new small Fiat in the US.
But now that they pretty much own Chrysler, it is fun to try and guess which new model could actually make it over here.

The Panda could compete with such cars as the Cube, Scion or Soul over here I guess.
Although the current Panda is about 16 inches shorter than the Cube.
The new one could be larger but still. We are talking about a really small car here.

I just hope it can find its way in the US as a Dodge or even a Jeep. Chrysler needs all the help it can get.

2012 Porsche 911 Video

A good looking car for sure.

But not the best video. they should have shown even more of this gorgeous car.

Maybe later....

2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

Looks like quite a few changes are in store for the Coupe version of the Genesis.

I really enjoyed the car when I got to test drive it last year. Mine was a V6 with manual.
It was really a fun car to drive, especially for the loaded price of about $30 000.

Now it looks like it will get an all new front end for the new year. As well as new rear lights. And it seems that, at least on some models, we might see a nice chrome line around the side windows.
My only complaints were about some of the interior bits. But that has mostly been rectified last year.
We might still be seeing an all new interior for the next year, as well as even more powerful engines.

An already good car that keeps improving....

2012 Kia Picanto 3 door

Kia will add a 3 door version to its all new Picanto before the end of the year.
In Europe.

So far, the sub-Rio small Kia has not been approved for the US.
Too bad.

This 3 door version in black does look pretty sporty.
Even if it isn't. The largest engine offered is a 1.2 Lier with 89hp.

Audi A1 5 door coming up.

It's no secret that a 5 door version of the A1 is in the works.
But here is proof. The A1 will then have quite an advantage over most of its competition like the Mini and Fiat 500

This is the current 3 door A1.
Not available in the US.

And the 5 door won't be either....

New pictures of the new 2012 Mercedes B-Class

Looking a bit better in this darker color.
But still not impressive. And still clumbsy. The side especially where too many lines are meeting in a weird way.

We will be getting a version of the new B-Class in the US.

New Renault 5 ???

The Renault 5 was a huge hit in Europe when it came out back in 1972.
It was redesigned a couple of times and ended production in 1996, and later was replaced by the Clio.

We know it over here as the Renault "Le Car". Which was sold through AMC from 1976 to 1983.

Right now, Renault does not have one of these cool retro designs to compete with the Mini, Fiat 500 or the Beetle.
The popular Renault 5 could make a popular come back.
And this illustration does show a quite attractive looking car.

It would stay in Europe. Unless Nissan decides to sell it here to compete with the 500....

2012 Chrysler Delta

They have finally decided to produce a Chrysler version of the Lancia Delta.
We saw a "concept" of it almost 2 years ago.

But this is NOT for the US.
Instead, the Chrysler Delta is for the British and Irish market only. Where Lancias are not sold.
So this gives Chrysler something of a more European size to sell in these countries.

Not sure why we don't get it. maybe they had to many reactions to the design when they showed it over here. Or it would have been too expensive.

Who knows....

2012 Bentley GTC Movie

The stuff dreams are made of....

2012 Bentley Continental GT Convertible

No surprises here. the new version of the coupe just came out a few months ago, so here is now the new convertible.
And just like the coupe, it looks like the previous one.

It looks like the old one, but it is all new. As you can see on these pictures. The new one is on top.
It is just designed to "look" like the previous one.

The newly available V8 should also make it into the convertible. making it a little bit less expensive....

We've got your 2012 Camry pictures right here...

Actually not a horrible looking car. This should compete very well against the new Malibu and Passat.
Both being rather conservative themselves.

Plus Toyota literally has millions of repeat customers. They will do great by just appealing to previous Camry owners.

As usual, the SE looks weird. Adding side skirts and spoilers on a boring car never looks good.

Wether you like it or not, this will be everywhere within a few months....

2012 Camry Pricing

Basically, they are all cheaper than the 2011 Models.

That's the best part of the cut throat competition out there....

2012 Toyota Camry Hollywood Intro

Super cheezy intro going on right now in the Paramount backlot.
A mix of wannabe actors introducing and "I think I'm cool" suits from Toyota.

The car itself still looks like a big Corolla to me...
