More pictures of the next Kia Rio

Looking more like a small Optima than a small Forte.

It looks like the small inexpensive car segment will be flourishing in the US next year with plenty of new models like the new Yaris, Rio, Accent, Nissan March etc…

  1. Vince, we're gettin kinda bored with the mini cars and econo micro generics. How about some interior shots of the lazer-etched and double-french stitched seats in the Ram Longhorn. It just got named the official "Truck of Texas". Show us why. It would be a great detour from the ordinary bla-zeh eco-generics from Kia, Honda, Toyota, Chevy, Ford, etc. I mean, there's only so much you can do with a car the size of a fiesta. They kinda all look the same after awhile–with or without a disguise. Show us more of what we dream about and less of the crap we got sittin in our driveway that we're upside-down on (Payments yet to make >>> resale value). Let us live vicariously through your test drives of exotic machines instead of being reminded of how dull our lives really are!

  2. Vince I have seen you make mention of the Micra coming to the US several times. Where did you get this information? I didn't see anything concrete from nissan saying such.

Glad to see these small cars picking up. I never understood why people drive gas guzzling pickups 30 miles to work by themselves. Seems such a waste. Especially when they are driving to desk jobs.

That's biased; everyone doesn't want a pick up truck as their dream car. And some people like small cars on Vince's blog. Just like some people like minivans although I don't.

  4. Oh the Rio looks great. I don't like the Smart or Toyota IQ but you can place it on here since I know just because I don't like them doesn't mean others dislike them.

  5. I love the front end, but I think the side profile will be a let down (I think the same of the Buick Excelle). If they can nail this and the Hyundai's design, it'll definitely be able to chip away at the Yaris, Fit, Aveo, and Fiesta.

  6. Your dreamcar is a ram?? hahaha…

Not ONLY a Ram; but something with some style, a Viper, a Ferrarri, a quad cab King Ranch Dually, a Vette, a 7-series, a Jag, an Avalanch. The JGC was nice. the 200. the Rolls. ANYTHING with a character line more than 20" long. Mabey something big enough to fit more than ONE character line along the side without looking top heavy.

Something more than a $15k bread box on wheels. That just gets old in a hurry. I like to see AUTOMOBILES, not appliances.
