Cadillac CTS convertible.

Last Updated:

Well.. Not really, but yes, in a way.

Cadillac will not be making a convertible of the CTS. At least not for the current generation.

But you will be able to order one from Droptop Customs pretty soon.
It looks pretty good. At least from these pictures/illustrations.
Especially with the top up, where it does keep most of the silhouette of the coupe.

We’ll see the real thing at the next SEMA show in Las Vegas.

  1. The top image looks like an option that would be offered in Florida, a simulated cabriolet roof. All it needs is gold plated chrome appliques. I think a hardtop convertible is more suited for this car.

  2. Love it! Caddy should offer this as a factory option. I do wish that they would create a slightly longer trunk lip.

  3. I have chosen and preordered 2 (His and Hers) Nissan DIG Turbo Charged Jukes. My wife and I are huge Nissan fans for the past 15 years and figure 2 of those little gems will be better than one of these!

Yea…ah I myself almost bought a Cadillac Convertable but instead bought a Cigarette Boat–because the boat is as similar to a Cadillac as a Nissan CUV is.

What are you smoking? Can I get some? I seem to have misplaced my rose-colored glasses.

  5. rose is as rose does. i prefer quality to garbage…so I chose Nissan over GM a very regular no brainer decision, no?, pass what you are smoking if you find GMs a better car than any Nissan. On second thought, I want none of it , if it distorts perception so.

  6. GM IS BETTER than is used to be, Nissan IS NOT as good as it used to be, But I'd still buy a Nissan over GM. But… as long as Honda is around, I don't have to and wont buy either.

  7. TO: Nisfan & Manny;
I like Nissan/Infinity. They have more really well-designed models than Toyota/Lexus, Honda/Acura, Mercedes, or many others. But to suggest GM is junk compared to Nissan is just not facing reality. For example:

LaCross & Enclave are BOTH “Consumer Reports BEST BUYS”

“Buick see Lexus on most counts and raises on others” – Moter Trend

Likewise the GT-R & M are great cars. (Jukes are not my cup of tea) But the old tired rhetoric about GM/Chrysler/Ford being something less that anything foreign just doesn't hold water any more.

The CTS convertable is EXACTLY my cup of tea–and I'm no longer alone in my love of Detroit Iron! The tide is turning –quickly!
