2012 Cadillac CTS-V Wagon

Last Updated:

Pretty much a no brainer. There is already a “V” version of the coupe, so it was just a matter of time for the wagon to get the V8 option.

I must say, after seeing it in person, the wagon has to be one of the best looking cars around.
The whole CTS line up really looks great.
I can’t wait to see the small ATS, which is rumored to come as a coupe and a convertible, as well as a sedan.

  1. Now if GM hadn't broke up with the Ad Agency, Modernista!, we would see this car get one kick ass commercial.

Sadly, since they've broken up, the latest CMs from Cadillac are disappointing (the SRX ones were the last good ones).

The reason why I brought up advertising is because GM is gonna need professionals to bring attention to this great looking car.

  2. I am a huge fan of the new Cadillacs. They are beautiful. But I'm not sure that I could ever buy one. When the CTS-V launched, I sat in one at the NY car show and joined their Facebook fan page. Let's just say that Cadillac enthusiasts are a somewhat lo-rent and unsophisticated audience. And that's being very sensitive. People raving about their Escalade or 1985 DeVille with gold wire wheels and vinyl roof is just not my thing. Cadillac is going to have to pick their audience and reign-in their dealers from adding any cheap E&G Classics aftermarket crap onto their cars. They need to completely erase their entire history from the 80s and 90s before they will be considered anything but a trashy brand.

  3. I'm afraid I have to agree with another Anon (March 9, 2010 8:47 AM, this time only partially). I've known Cadillac enthusiasts of the sort Anon speaks of: The Escalade crowd, and those who think Cadillac needs to build 1974 Eldorados forever. Times have changed, and the CTS line + a new F-segment car are the vehicles Caddy needs to build. They've got to get the small Caddy right too.

  4. Nobody wants Cadillacs anymore. GM can barely sell 5K Cadiallacs / month.

Could it be because an Escalade Platinum is listed at $85,000 US? I'm shocked they can move $1k a month! I sure don't see BMW M or Merc AMG moving anywhere near 5k/mo.
