Euro Ford Kuga built in the US!

Last Updated:

Starting in 2011 if all goes well.
They might even export some of them back to Europe.

By that time, the Kuga won’t be so fresh and new anymore, but it will still be light years ahead of the horrendous looking Escape.

  1. I was just thinking how funny it would be if they built it here but we still did'nt get any. What'll happen to the Escape, or is this the next one for us?

  2. Yup, the Escape looks positively ancient compared to this thing. It just looks like some ten year old SUV.
At least Ford is on the right track though. Pretty soon a good portion of their lineup will be their European offerings… Go Kuga!

  3. Please don't export them back here to Europe. Our roads are littered with bits of crumbling M-B M-Class' and BMW Z4's

  4. @Anon 10:23,
So you're saying you don't want an American branded cute ute to outsell the CR-V to the latter's own target demographic?

@Vince, tell us how you REALLY feel about the Escape (and the Rogue for that matter), sheesh…

  5. It is about time we get a worthy replacement to the ancient and poorly built Escape. The interior plastics in the Escape are appauling.

Hotcakes don't sell well in the USA.

    They don't?

Then why do we have so many IHOPs and Bob Evans?

  6. The Escape is the ONLY manly looking one of the bunch unless you want to include the MB M-Class or BMW X5

No one buys hotcakes at IHOP or Bob Evans.

    Retarded comment.

Who gives a shit about looking "manly". Have you ever heard the saying the driver makes the car???

    Are you that insecure?

  8. I would kill for them to bring the Kuga here.

The next generation needs to be a bit bigger for the US though. The size of the current Kuga is perfect for Europe, but I would like something more along the size of the Honda CR-V which I think is perfectly sized.
