New Nissan Sunny Neo

Last Updated:

The old versions of the Sunny used to be sold here under the name B210,and later, the Sentra.
Our current Sentra is now a different design.

So this new one won’t be sold in the US.

  1. We owned a 1990 Sentra XE. Very good car.
Excellent car. Held up well. Only thing we replaced, that wasn't normal wear and tear, was the CV Boots, around 100K miles.
Had the car for over 233,000 miles/9+ years.
If not for an accident(deer hit), and not very well repaired( car body started to rust badly, in a few years after the accident)we probably would have hit 300,000 miles..or more.

    We had a 1997 Nissan 200sx(2 door/Sentra).
We got rid of it at 67K+ miles, around 4 years…
nothing like the Sentra XE…. quality-wise.

Too bad this Sunny Neo won't be seen in the USA.
If it were..and the reliability akin to our old 1990 Senta XE… I would , for the first time in 12+ years..consider a Sentra/Nissan product.

  2. I'm surprised they aren't attempting to resurrect the spirit of the Infinity G20 in the mix. Having something slot under the G37 wound't seem like an odd thing these days.

  3. what a gorgeous piece of kit. love this beauty it will sell huge anywhere, and yes my nissan went forever also, that's why i'm a huge fanboy of the brand. i'm on my 10'th.

  4. Vince, the Sunny was replaced in 2007 by the Nissan Tiida (aka the Nissan Versa in the U.S.). So this is very likely the next-gen Versa.

  5. I agree, what we get is fugly and over priced too.
Tell me the sentra grew to the size of th 93-97 Altima model for todays price, than it will be worth it. But close to size of versa for the price of an Altima and ugly ness, NO WAY.

    I hate this guy.

If Nissan put wheels on a pile of shit he would call it "a beautiful piece of kit".

Same line in every single one of his comments.

  7. really really nice, very tidy neat and very attractive. front end is civic like. side profile right from altima/ infiniti m. I would get one, you?

  8. wow, I hope this is the next versa. I have the current model of versa. I bought it because it was cheap. I must say, it has been outstanding, quiet, comfortable, reliable and trouble free. Very Very ugly though, that's why I'm hoiping this cutie pie is next years new Versa. Love It!

  9. Seems to me that the U.S. Sentra is really a cut-down Altima–the Sentra is nearly as wide and is ponderous looking from most angles.

The Sunny New pictured looks like it was designed to be a small car and looks much better than our current Sentra.

Most Sentras I see in San Francisco are rental cars. Hard to beat the Honda Civic when considering a compact car.

  10. i own a fleet of 8 flower delivery vehicles. in fact, it isn't at all hard to beat the honda civic. you see, my whole fleet was civics and one by one, i have replaced them with sentras. only 2 to go. all my drivers prefer the sentra by far, they cite, quieter, smoother ride and peppier than civic to only name a few. as well, they are much lower overall cost to maintain. so you see, i know by experience that it's quite easy to beat a civic…..buy a Nissan.

When you say a beautiful piece of kit, are you calling a Nissan a kit car? Because that is what their interior quality resembles, that of a kit car.

Nissans are JUNK, I am sorry. I'd never own a Nissan after my problematic and low quality 2006 Maxima.

    This story is BS.

The last person who had a similar story first had 10 Civics that were then replaced with 8 Sentras and only a few more to go…

I think it was a contractor before though, and not a florist.

    Your story is completely transparent.

    BS.

  12. I would like to see this in the U.S., but we will probably get more Renault cars, like the Versa hatchback, etc..(unfortunately).

I have not seen a small car from Nissan, that I liked, in a decade, at least…and the way they have been going… I doubt the next decade(the Leaf? No thanks….not unless it's 20K, and runs 300 miles on a charge)…. will be much different(especially, since Renault is involved…unless their next generation of cars look better).

    I absolutely agree with you.
Its the same person making up stories.
I own 100 nissans by the way hahaha. Yes its BS.

  14. poor simple , ignorant children living in mommy's basement. come on out get some fresh air, lose a hundred pounds or so…wash maybe. Your small mind can't imagine anyone getting around in their own car, never mind a fleet. Yes many people have fleets and many are Nissans for obvious reasons. Don't feel like less of a person because mom still pays the bills. It's ok, you can live in the real world too, c'mon out!

I am 30 years old and live with my wife in a suburb of Washington DC that has been named by multiple publications as one of the top 10 places to live in the US.

    Thanks though.

I also don't know any companies that use Nissan vehicles in a fleet other than rental agencies because Nissan needs to move their (otherwise slow moving) inventory.

  16. Anything and i do mean ANYTHING would be better than the nasty sentra or even uglier Versa here in america, hell even nothing at all would help there reputation more than selling ugly ness !! they still make the early 90s sentra the bulletproof one in mexico, called the tsuru i see them all the time in san diego and would love to buy one. https://www.nissan.com.mx/
