Another 2011 Ford Focus illustration.

We’ll see with the US Fiesta if we are really getting the same products as Europe.
I hope.
If the next Focus looks anything like this, Ford could have another winner on their hands.
I don’t see anything coming up from Chrysler or GM close to this. Except maybe if Buick decides to sell us the new Astra….

  1. Very classy. More than a match for the Civic and the ultra boring Corolla.

I agree. This looks fantastic. But Ford shouldn't f*ck around and drag its feet getting this to market. They do have that reputation in the domestic market of waiting too long to introduce good, new models.

  2. Wow, I'll keep this in mind as a less expensive alternative to the Mazda 3 and Hyundai Elantra Touring. I like the Elantra, but I wish I could get leather and more power.

  3. I love this. If they load it with the right options and have a great interior (not the usual clunky Ford buttons and ergo's), this could be an extremely hot lil car. And i'm hoping…. I'd love to buy it if it is.

  4. Seeing how they've already dumbed down the Fiesta compared to the euro version, I wouldn't hold your breath.

  5. If they're smart, they'll make it slightly wider and longer than a mazda 3. The reason a lot of hatches have failed in the US – they got too small to be seen as seriously useful transportation. That has to come first. You have to fit in it to buy one. Just slightly bigger than the last Focus 5dr please.

  6. I think the marketing choices will be interesting. Will they not recognize that they have a smaller less expensive car (Fiesta) to handle to lower end price range? In other words, produce a stripper el-cheapo Focus that will taint the entire model. Its time Ford realized if they execute this right, they could see Focus in the $20+k range, just like upper end Civics. Honda doesnt dummie down their models. Ford, think Civic Si! Now go get em!

  7. If it looks like that with a good interior and a reasonable price, they have sold me one! 1.6 EcoBoost engine please.

  8. Now if it was Korean people would have said the greenhouse looks close to the Infiniti E crossover. But since it's not Korean, no one will say anything.

  9. Oh good, because I was really worried that our version would'nt come with the 40'x20' chrome bars or would'nt come with those cheese ball chrome side vents. I'm just kidding Ford. I really don't like those things. The car in this picture looks PERFECT. Now Ford, listen carefully. There's going to be a group of individuals in Ford of America who will want to….do things…..to the design of this car. If you learned ANYTHING these past 5 years, it should be this…..DON'T FREAKIN' LISTEN TO THEM!!! THEY'RE FREAKIN' MMMOOOOOORRRRROOOONNNSSS!!! Just take this design and go with it. And Ford here's the good part. By bypassing the crappy US design department you'll be SAVING MONEY!!! Because you won't be PAYING them to screw it up and you won't be LOSING SALES either.

I will say this though. Fords designs have been improving greatly lately so I think the group of beurocrats who were in there screwing things up before are either gone or re-brainwashed to do the right thing. I don't mean to insult everyone at Ford. I'm sure a lot of those people work hard to do the right thing. I just mean to insult the group of beurocratic morons who, in the past, changed designes around because THEY though it was what was best for Americans, without even asking us in the first place.

If this car is 90% accurate, I'll be happy. If it's 95% accurate, I'll be ecstatic and probably buy one when I save up enough acorns.

    Alright, I'll shut up now.
