  1. we will see it because these pigs (GM) ffffff’d it up for 50 years. The new GM, if it lives, will bring this stuff here.

  2. Of course we will not see it here. It sems that Europeans have more style. Is anyone wondering why US carmakers are where they are today? I doubt it.

  3. Awesome car! I hope it makes it to the US. However, I think I’d rather see the 305 hp DI 3.6l (better mpg)in it, and then you could mod it out from there. I would’nt mind seeing a twin turbo di 3.6l. It would probably get 2 mpg though.

  4. I agree that we wont see it here. That would mean that GM had one division that was actually serious about taking on the likes of Audi, BMW, and Lexus.

  5. Gm has to remember this, the ugly gold bowtie emblem needs to disappear now, regardless and the ugly red pontiac arrow gone too. they can make a modern chrome stylized version of those for the new GM, but better yet choose “One” emblem and run with it.

  6. This car makes too much sense for GM to bring stateside. You would think it was a no brainer. Just maybe, if the american autobrands imported more, if not all of their european models, they might not be in such bad shape now.

  7. Of course GM will never bring something this attractive here — they are too busy coming up with crappy rebadged SUVs for obese Americans to drink their huge Slurpees in

John, why would you want an NA engine to tune? You can get much better results from a FI powerplant such as this for less money.

I’d stick to FI if it were to be tuned.

  9. Of course we’ll see it here. It will be called Saab 9-5 and will look much better, or at least less like a Camry.
The powertrain is the same as the current 9-3 Aero, with a bit more power (probably because there’s more space for cooling).

  10. les is right…i hate the camry, old man anyone? to finish the picture, camry drivers are now required to have a cane and smoke a pipe.

  11. In an earlier “blogging” Vince dispelled the Insigna=LaCrosse argument. The LaCrosse is a larger car that happens to be on the same platform. Which is why there have been talks of slotting the Insignia under the LaCrosse as a “Regal.” Think Camry/Avalon.

  12. The Insignia will be the 2010 Buick LaCrosse, with a different front grill / tail lamps…

Though, sad to say that the EU version is still more the looker…
