2011 Infiniti M35?

Last Updated:

It does look like it could be.
The next M will be the 1st Infiniti available with the new 3.0Liter V6 diesel. In Europe first.
But not in the US.
Strangely, an even smaller 2.5 Liter V6 will also be available in some markets.
While the US is getting a new Hybrid version. Which could possibly use the 2.5 Liter with an electric motor for best in class fuel economy.
The 3.7 Liter will still be the main engine choice for US, while the V8 might not even make it.

We’ll see.

  1. Wow! Talk about uninspired styling! Either the Japanese have no talented designers, or they just figure the buying public doesn’t like design. Looks like it’s 10 years old already! Plus, Nissan really needs to up the quality on the M’s interior, I had one for two days while my G37,(traded, hated) was in the shop and the wood trim was PEELING off the driver’s front door panel!!

  2. I completely agree with the “uninspired” comment. Remember when the Japanese rocked us all with incredibly sporty designs, low cowls, huge window glass and hoods so low they looked like paint scrapers? 20 years passes and Honda wont even produce a Prelude. Its a dismal world.

Completely agree with the quality comment.

My friend has a 2006 M35x and I think the interior quality is seriously lacking. Even the black sheep of the segment (Acura RL) has a much nicer interior with better quality materials. The speakers on the top of the front seats look VERY tacky, something that would be added to an 80’s Maxima.

There is nothing about the M, or any other vehicle from Infiniti’s lineup that impresses me.

Just out of curiousity, what did you own before the G37 and what did you trade it in for?

  4. Boring and uninspired. I thought Infinity was trying to compete with BMW. I’m no fan of the current BMW design language but at least they are not afraid to take chances.

  5. The M35 is an absolutely fine car, boasting one of the highest road test scores by Consumer Reports. The only weaknesses of the current model are the hideous tail lights and boring 18″ factory wheels.

  6. WOW, I wonder first few poster were the same person bashing the Infiniti. one had G35 and trade it in then next person, his frind had M35X, and it was bad. I had 2008 G35, it was great car, I trade it in for 2009 GL450, but Infiniti had great car line up now, only bad thing got is the QX56. G37 and M35/45 are pretty good cars in their own catageory, they do sell pretty good too. I think in 2008 M sold more cars and GS. same with G and IS. I don’t know what you guys are talking about it.

Of course Infinit have some draw backs, interior need improve much more. but these cars much more reliable than MB and BMW…

  7. Everyone on here is so short sighted. I’m sure the same people will be posting how much they like this car once we see “real” photos.

  8. looks like the audi a7 concept sketches to me.

and the a7 is supposed to be priced higher and supposed to be the “stylish 4-door coupe”.

  9. This is indeed the 2010 all-new Hyundai Sonata, following on the steps of the Mercedes CLS and the Volkswagen CC

  10. I currently own a 2007 Infinti M35 and the wood panels on the door all have came off due to the heat! I live in the Sunshine State and there is no way to prevent this! I even have 4% Limo Tint all around!

  11. I think the M35 is a classy car that is more understated and classic, less bold and attention getting as the G37 perhaps, but more classier. I think U.S consumers prefer a more powerful engine, hence the engine choice.

  12. The current M has been sold with the 2.5-liter VQ25DE since its debut;
Now the M is sold with the VQ25HR making 223 hp.
