Another 2010 Ford Mustang Teaser picture

Last Updated:

This is supposed to be the last one.
We’ll see the whol thing in a few days.

From what I’ve seen, it doesn’t look that diferent than the 2009.
At least outside. I wonder if the average person will even be able to tell this is the “new” one…

  1. They’re trying to do the same thing GM did with the camaro, but they do not have any good reason to do so…

The new mustang seems to be going in the same direction as before with only a few unnoticeable changes…

I never really liked the mustang and probably never will…

Speaking of muscle cars.. saw a white challenger yesterday, pretty good looking and really noticeable among other cars…

  2. Maybe in 10 or so years we’ll see it in the pages of some book about what the US car industry was working on before it collapsed.

  3. It’d better be a big improvement from the current one, which unless you dress it up, it looks like an ugly puppy.

  4. Don’t like the new tail lights — old ones were better. Otherwise looks like the kind of 3-year “evolutionary freshining” that BMW always did. No new sheet of paper, just some refinement. Typical BMW/Mercedes “evolution”. Probably the best move in this case — the current one is pretty hard to beat.

  5. I’m sure the entire time they didn’t plan for an “All new” look, so it makes sense that this doesn’t look all that different, but I think there are enough differences to notice that this one is not the 2005-2009 version. I’ve been curious about the stripped tail lights ever since the first teaser pictures. It’s almost like they melded 2 and a half sets of MKS tail lights together. I think it is great that they are bringing back amber rear turn signals. Have’t seen that for a new generations!

  6. I think this is the best looking part of the new Mustang so far. Niiiiiice keeester! Too bad the front does’nt look as good so far. But I will reserve final judgement when I see the whole thing.

  7. the changes ARE subtle
    …taken one by one…
but sooo much has been re-sculpted!

imho, a non-car-fan person seeing the new Mustang will just think, “That’s a great looking Mustang”. Which is fine imho.

Me? from the pix so far, I think it’s the best looking since 1968!!!

  8. Hmmm. I’m not sure if this looks too sexy. Looks like the current one, only melted. They should take a cue from the Shelby rear-end and make it more aggressive. And maybe get rid of the fake center gas cap and even give it LED’s to bring it into the 21st century. They could also get rid of the radio antennae that is still the exact same one my family had on their 1974 Pinto.

  9. I don’t think your average motorists would care or turn head. of course, the mustang aficionado would drool over the improvement.

ford and gm (chrysler for that matter) need cars that would turn your average motorists’ heads in order to stay alive. being conservative does not help given the perceived reliable track record.

chrysler, while under mercedes, did put out a few good looking vehicles.

  10. “chrysler, while under mercedes”

You’re kidding right? Jeeps looked good way before Mercedes messed them up. The Viper was before MB, the 300 visual design was done by the time MB merged with Chrysler. Even the Prowler, which was mechanical trash, was pretty cool. The PT Cruiser was wildly successful before Mercedes allowed it to rot on the vine. Absolutely everything that came after the Mercedes merger was a visual eyesore. Mercedes was the cause of Chrysler’s problems because they ruined everything that was good with Chrysler… design. However they didn’t improve Chryslers weaknesses, which has always been their vehicle’s mechanical integrity.

  11. Are you kidding? Doesnt look different? Take a look at the 09 again…. this rear fascia has totally been redone. I think this 2010 FRESHEN is going to surprise a lot of people.
