BMW 1 series Coupe commercial

Last Updated:

I must say I was a bit disappointed by it when I sat inside one a few weeks ago.
The interior just doesn’t really feel like a car that starts at $30 000. It goes way past that with just a few options.

I just think it’s too expensive for what it is.

  1. I think the base car should start at $23K.
They shot themselves in the foot for putting an expensive engine in a car that is suppose to be for everyone. A efficient and peppy 4 cylinder would have done the job…

  2. I can’t wait to see the BMW “limited availability” markups when these hit the greedy stealerships. Don’t get me wrong, i’ll be wringing one out next summer at the BMW Drive for the Cure event, but this is making me wait more patiently for the new Camaro.

  3. 2 things killed the 1 series for me: 1st was finding out it only weighs like 130 lbs less than the 3 series, and the 2nd is the base price is a few thousand higher than they originally said. Not worth it…..

  4. I’m with you Vince… too damn expensive for this market. If one could afford the 1 series, why not just jump up to the 3 series? This won’t be competitive against the Audi A3. A3 with the 3.2 L motor is probably a little slower but infinitely more practical as a hatchback (errr … sportwagon). The A3 with the 2.0L may also be a bit slower than the 128, but DSG kicks ass and again way more practical and probably a load cheaper.
