  1. Honda should be rather worried. The Mazda6 looks much nicer than the “renewed, resized” (awkward) Accord.

  2. From what I understand from car and driver the USA version will be shown , if I remember correctly, in the spring of 08.

  3. Looks kind of feminine (especially the head/tail lamps). The trunk looks small too. Glad to see a manual in there though.

I don’t think so at all. In terms of sales volume (what car companies want) the Accord will continue to dominate.

This vehicle looks great, but shoppers will still choose the Honda.

  5. I disagree, the sales volume leader is still the Camry. But I can see how the Mazda6 is stealing sales from the Accord.

  6. looks odd that the door handle is different on the driver’s side than on the passenger’s side.

  7. Does no one remember the Mazda Millenia? This car clearly is reaching back to the Millenia for styling cues… The Millenia was a nice looking car too – it had a lot of personality and seemed a little ahead of it’s time in the styling department.

  8. looks like altima and 6 will dominate the segment, that is if buyers are looking for quality good looking cars. If they are looking for a car that will likely be recalled or one that is not recommended by consumer reports, than their best bet would be a camry, and if they are looking for a retro syyled car, say something that looks like a 2003 sonata and one that will be too large for its own good, than the accord should be their pick, otherwise, it’s altima or 6.

  9. Now that is a nice copy of a BMW 5 series. The new accord looks like it was designed by Stevie Wonder. The lines flow so nicely here. I can’t wait to see one on the road.

  10. I’ve had two Hondas where this was the case. I guess it keeps space clear from that side of the steering wheel and allows easy access to the window/mirror/door lock switches. Those door grips are handy, though.

Keep this exact comment in mind when you see the next reviews and sales figures a year down the road. You couldn’t be any more wrong.

  12. Hey Jack of all trades, focus on the “Jack”, sales figures have zero to do with qualty, Case in point, all of the #1 sellers in North America for many years are either low quality , problem ridden, gas guzzling pickups, or low quality cars, ie; Toyota Camry, not recomended by consumer reports. Volume does not equal quality….never has, never will. You need to be nore intelligent if you wish to post..post!
