Cheezy Citroen C6 commercial

The car is French, but the super cheezy commercial is German.

So Sean Connery is too good for the 4th Indiana Jones movie (he "respectfully" told Spielberg he would not come out of retirement to play Indie's dad again), but it's OK to take mulah to advertize a car in a bad commercial....

Another Hollywood sell out...

I thought it was clever. Connery will always be my favorite Bond. Too bad Jaguar didn't get him to do this commercial for their new XF.

Amen to Connery as the best Bond. I would have thought he would be a natural for an Aston Martin commercial though, but Jaguar would make more sense.

How can an actor be a "sell-out" for taking money from an advertiser? All mainstream movies these days are full of product placement, which means the movie makes a great deal of money before it even makes it to the screen. This is business for Connery, pure and simple.

That's what he said last June about working again on the new Indiana Jones movie:

"If anything could have pulled me out of retirement, it would have been an Indiana Jones film. But in the end, retirement is just too damned much fun."

So he was just lying.
Or I guess, working on a commerical is still somehow considered retirement...

Wow when he gets out the car "young" the CG manipulation on the face is so bad it's laughable. Not only it it completely fake looking in general, he opens his mouth once and about 5 German syllables come out.
