Ford iMax

Not for us.
Some Asian countries only.

I don’t really see the point of this: a Mazda5 with a Ford front end. With a fancier interior.
Why even bother?
Unless these countries do not get Mazdas at all…

  1. Vince, last time I am going to ask … Where are the new Toyota Matrix pics for the US?

    Vince Clarke (lol)

  2. Well, the Toyota Matrix probably won’t be called “Matrix” anymore. In Europe, it’s the Aura, and in Japan, it’s the upscaled (wood trim…etc.) Blade. However, I doubt that the US will get either of these iterations, but more likely, a simpler, less expensive version. Toyota has stated that the Blade is going for baby-boomers (so, why call it, “blade”?), and it would be doubtful that our baby-boomers here would be interested, they are too busy driving Scions and Elements.

Huh? Baby-boomers are in their 50s now. I don’t see that many 50 year olds driving Scions or Elements.

Do you mean the youth market instead?

“Baby-boomers” for those who don’t know, refers to the people born during the population boom when US soldiers returned from World War II and got busy making families – so yeah these babies are in their 50s now.

  4. This is a clever and practical vehicle, but I’m like you Vince. I just don’t get why the Ford label. Speaking of names, won’t Ford run into trademark issues with IMAX theaters?

  5. I see a lot of older people driving Elements….. i have some customers 60+ that rave about them everytime they come in too see me.
