Hyundai Genesis concept

Looks production ready to me.
Even a bit boring.

I guess price will still be the main advantage.

  1. Not bad for a Hyundai.. but it does look a bit small.. for a luxury car.. looks maybe the size of a camry or altima.. the side reminds me of the honda accord euro and the back has hints of bmw. especially the bumper that looks like the current 3 series .. Not a bad effort though.. If I saw that on the street and didnt know any better it would look like a japanese mid-sizer.. so good on em on the design front.. interesting to see more pics and further details of interior and engines available.. Thats all for now !! > : ) Les

  2. It looks like a BMW 5-series in the back…the whole rear end styling, as well as the sides of the car, appear “Inspired” (ripped-off) from the 5 series.

  3. Thanks for the stats Vince.. Looks like Hyundai are serious about taking on the big luxo makers.. However it remains to be seen if people can look past their ( pardon the pun ) Past.. because of their Cheap and Cheerful, vehicles from not so long ago .. not to mention their numerous problems with reliability and build quality.. although it seems that quality is up, might have been a good option for Hyundai to introduce a new brand altogether and market this car.. I hope it can do well.. Dont mind a Luxo on a budget.. ! Appeals to the heart and mind.. Les > : )

  4. 1) RWD

    3) 300HP V-8, heard the 4.6 would be the engine? Vince has that 100% correct.

MPG? This syas 0-60 in under 6 seconds.
They seem to suggest a possible hybrid version down the road?
I dunno… what do you think, Vince?

    take care/not any offense.

  5. It’s obviously a BMW knock-off in its looks but with an affordable price and reliability BMW can only dream about.

    What’s not to love?

  6. Hyundai didn’t do too bad with this one. A nice clean design, somewhat reminiscent of Holden’s Commodore, even a little BMW. And it is a big car, despite the photos. The Genesis is about the size of the Chrysler 300. Take note, the front and back clips are strictly showcar. They’ll change for production, but the greenhouse won’t.

  7. It looks a lot like a 7-series to me. Especially from that rear 3/4 view. Not a bad thing, but not very original.

  8. Nice job Hyundai. It looks great. I wonder how much the production version will cost. Base price will probably $2000.00 more than the base Azera. Looking forward to more pics.
