  1. super ultra boring. good thing they are delaying US release for a year to tighten it up. this is a dud.

  2. Just put it this way: fast food, chocolate, vanilla ice-cream, coffee …etc are not really what we called “inventive” or “groundbreaking” either. At least this will always be the best selling model in the world.

  3. The interior quality is far better than almost any European can. And yes I can compare, I own an 00 ML320, and an 05 325i.

  4. The interior is a major improvement over the current car, but the rest is a total snore-fest… Hopefully the NA model will be “sportier” than this.

  5. I think the interior is beautiful and very functional, a significant improvement over the new Civic.

And the exterior isn’t ugly, which is all I can expect from Toyota.

I hope we get the station wagon option in the US.

I would definitely consider buying this, esp. if I could get the nav w/ cloth seats.

  6. This car has a nice, simple exterior, and a beautiful, very functional interior.

I would definitely be interested in buying it.

Toyota should keep the interior and the station wagon option for the American market.

  7. This car has a beautiful, functional interior, and a nice, restrained exterior.

I would definitely consider buying it.

  10. This looks a lot like the Toyota Avensis which is sold just about everywhere but here. Not a bad looking car but I was expecting something earth shattering. However, this car is designed for the middle aged folks so it will definitely sell.

  11. this thing is garbage, i dont even have the right to call it a car, its a ugly thing, the stupid folk who cant tell the difference between a pos and a greatly designed car will buy this. Oh well, lets put a tariff on those car and support american industry, at least their desings are getting better but can not surpass the germans.

  12. some of these comments are obviously not the truth lol, who would spend over 30,000 on a compact sedan that they thought had an interior that was cheaper than a car that costs 16,000 comeon guys lol no one else believes this right…., but anyway boring desighn but like the look of the wagon, and nice interior also, not ground breaking but given the segment i think this will be a good car practical good quality, reliable

  13. I like boring cars… The Twits tend to leave it/me alone. There is little worse in life than the character of people who like you because of your car.

This car looks better than good enough.

  14. Wow, it’s like Toyota and Volkswagen are in a big race to see who can make the least inspiring car. Or has Toyota resorted to badge engineering its next Corolla from the Jetta? I gave up on thinking Toyota could come up with inspiring designs a long time ago, but the least they could do is come up with something of their own. Why, oh why do people keep buying these dreadfully, painfully bland little pieces of Japanese econo-crap?
