2007 Toyota Corolla Wagon

Not for us (unless the upcoming Jetta Wagon turns out to be a home run) and still an illustration.

it does share that late 80’s lack of style the previous sedan pictures had…

  1. This really brings back fond memories of my 1991 Camry wagon!! It had a 2.0, 4 cylinder engine and was built solid as a rock in Japan and got excellent gas mileage!! This would sell extremely well in the U.S. if Toyota would only have the insight to bring it here!

  2. Too bad they didn’t give it the style of the Mazda3. At least sensible drivers have another option when they need to haul things and not waste gas owning an SUV.

  3. I like it. I also think that a significant number of people trading out of SUV’s will want 2 box functionality. Honda abandoned the Civic and Accord wagon niche, and lately Subaru has restyled so often, that I would be wary of buying one. Toyota would be wise to press forward with this one.

  4. It may be anonymous, but I think it would be welcomed by buyers. Honda has abandoned the wagon niche, and Subaru is changing its sheet metal so often, that I would be wary of buying one. I suspect that SUV tradeout buyers will want 2 box functionality, and that this niche is more viable now than ever. RW

  5. The reason Toyota doesn’t sell wagons anymore is because they don’t sell. If you want a Camry wagon buy a Highlander, Corolla wagon buy a Matrix, plain and simple. This picture looks like a doctored Sienna pic, the tail lights are a big giveaway. Sorry folks but car manufacturers are in business to sell to the majority not the minority. Wagons are dogs when it comes to sales.

Keep up the good work Phil. Now how about some real pictures of the upcoming Corolla, we know you have them, give them up!

  7. Nice illustration … too bad it’s way off what the next Corolla wagon will look like.

This illustration looks dated compared to the Avensis wagon, which in itself, is already a dated design.

  8. Finally, an amazingly original design comes from Toyota. For example, never in my entire life have I seen a station wagon that’s had a roofline which tapers to the rear like that. Groundbreaking. Truly.
