2007 Toyota Corolla.

Not much better from that angle, is it?

Again, our US model might have different lights. And that might be it…

  1. Like someone else mentioned… When Honda unveiled it’s new Civic, Toyota scrapped its Corolla design and went back to the drawing boards to come up with something a little more radical. I wonder if this is Toyota leaking the not-so-radical design to through people off?

  2. Just looks like a mid cycle refresh.

I agree. Looks like a mid-cycle refresh. Nothing wrong with that, but this thing is really boring.

But, hey, if it sells well, who else but Toyota really cares otherwise?

    Oh, wait…most of us. Sorry.

That’s exactly what I’m thinking. Also notice how this Corolla has virtually no styling cues from the Yaris or the new Camry, which makes it odd, or possibly the “dated” as you stated, being leaked to throw people off.

Toyota has a consistent record of surprising and underrating or understating their new models.

  4. These pictures look far too much like a Scion tC in the front and especially the back. They’ve got to be fake.

  5. Wasn’t that story about Toyota going back to the drawing board to counter the Civic referring the European versions of each car?

Everyone bashes Toyota for their bland styling. With some exceptions, I would have to agree. But shouldn’t there be a bland option in the market? Some people want that, and are smarter for not paying a premium for style. (Not me, but some people)

  6. Checkout the 4-lug wheel. The current ‘Rolla is 5-lug. The 5-door looks like the Toyota Corolla RunX (Euro ‘Rolla). The sedan “spy” pic resembles the Toyota Premio/Allion (w/o the rear wiper).

  7. we have to understand that regardless of how boring or uninspired the design is, the corolla has become a motoring staple for millions. many seek comfort in familiar elements, and most corolla owners would just trade up to a new one. granted, this new design won’t win new fans, but it will sufficiently satisfy existing owners.

  8. oh please. that is definitely not the new corolla. theres no way in hell that toyota would ever sell anything that horrendous right after honda launched a much much nicer civic. that picture is a fake and i dont know why it’s even up. 99% positive my ass.

  9. blacklaser ((Toyota scrapped its Corolla design and went back to the drawing boards)). maybe it is true and this could be just a facelift for one year more. butttttt. wait for the 2008 model oohhhh…. aahhhh. jummmmm. better corolla who looks like a big yaris. I hope they use the ((ALTIS)) name. this is the name they use for corolla in others countries. the same happen with the yaris. yaris is an old name who they use for the echo. and altis looks more like a lexus brand name. I change the name to my corolla xrs to the name altis and now looks like a mini lexus.

  10. im a toyota fan, but I gotta sya this looks even worse than the one out right now.

this one isnt bad its just dull and plain

  11. I must say this looks like a mid life refresh, I think toyota scrapped the 2007 design and just went for the refresh, and are probably working on a new design.
It is possible becaus I read in some site that the corolla is coming at the end of 2007.
assuming they take 2 years to make a model, this could mean that they started working on the model in the begining of 2005. [may be]

  12. wow if this is all new then it is pretty bad then

i did like the corolla hatchback you posted a couple of days ago vince

maybe it will look more like that?

  13. I have actual pictures of the hatchback.
They’re small and not too sharp, but they’re real.

    I’ll post them soon.

  14. I don’t think the Avensis has ever been good looking.
It has no style compared to its European competiton.
The next one will be better.
They will finally understand that style is very important in Europe…

  15. Notice that the freshened Avensis has the new Toyota grill, while this supposed “real shot” of the Corolla does not.

  16. toyota is so confident that they are making their cars uglier as time goes on and expect “YOU WILL” still line up to buy them, what a bunch of assholes!

  17. This is not the 2007 corolla, I Happen to work for the toyota development department and this is someones idea of a joke. This is the ugliest atempt at making a next year model of one of are cars. I have seen little kids draw better looking cars. The new 2007 corolla will be on display at the 2006 detroit auto show. Thats all the info im allowed to give to the public about the corolla.
