Chevrolet Captiva

Last Updated:

This is the Daewoo SUV sold in Europe as a Chevrolet.
And we might get it here as the next Vue.
But the Vue just got a new front and interior this year, so it might be a while before we actually see this over here…
(A stupid move, spending all that money in the “old” Vue when they have this coming up months later…)

Engines, at least in Europe are a new 2.0 Liter Diesel with 150hp. And a “more American’ 3.2 Liter V6 with 225 hp.
Looks like serious competition for the new RAV4.

It should be here right now, as a Chevy. They need to replace the Equinox pronto…

  1. Vince, the Captiva won’t make it here as the next Saturn Vue. The Opel Antara GTC concept will be the next Saturn Vue. Moving forward, most Saturn’s will be based on Opel/Vauxhall vehicles — and Bob Lutz has already said that the Antara is pretty close to what the next Vue will look like (only with 4 doors).

  2. Well..”only with 4 doors” measna lot of changes.
The Antara looks too much like a concept .
I don’t think the production version will be to close to that.
I have also seen spy shots of the Opel version of the Captiva with slight changes to the front.

  3. why replace the Equinox? Its only been on the market a short time (relatively) and is selling pretty well from what I understand.

  4. This looks MUCH better than Chevy can come up with on thier own. Note: Gaps between body panels aren’t a mile wide like the Equinox!!!

  5. the equinox is one of the best things chevy has, decent interior quality, nice desighn, magazines speak highly of the equinox, its big for the price, and plentyoffeatures
