It does look like it…
At least , it is different than the previous concepts tail lights, so it might just be the real thing.
We’ll know more next month when they bring to Detroit a “close to production” version of the S30.

I’m pretty excited about this one. But my question is, if this is supposed to slot underneath the S40, which retails for $23k-$35k, then this thing would have to retail for, I’d say $19k-$25k, if not, it doesn’t make alot of sense.

I’m excited about it too. I’ve always liked Volvo’s small coupes from the past.
It is supposed to be cheaper than the S40.
But because it is a coupe, maybe it’ll be just a bit cheaper, not that much .
They won’t compete with each other.
I would love to see a 4 door version of this too.
From what I know, its supposed to be built on a shortened C1 platform, the same that the S40 rides on…. so, wouldn’t a 4-door hatchback C30 just be a a V50 wagon, but less useful?
Still, even if they only price it a bit lower than the S40, it’ll still be a bargain, considering the cost of an S40 is well below any of its competitors, and this should be even better looking, sharper handling car.

I have a V50 T5, great car so far. My next car will actually be smaller and this looks pretty interesting so far. I think they will have a different shopper if they make a cool 2 door hatch.
