This is the best “shameless copy job” from Russia since the Tupolev 144 copied the Concorde supersonic airplane back in the early 70’s!
They are now obviously after the Ford Focus. Even their company logo !
Ladas have been sold in western Europe for years, as cheap transportation. Kind of like early Korean cars here back in the 80’s.
They were then, based on even older Fiat models.
I am not sure what this one is based on, but it has the usual 1.6 Liter engine. And actually, it does look a bit more modern than our old US only Ford Focus…
This is the old Lada. In production for decades!
