New Peugeot 1007

There were quite a few interresting new cars at the Paris auto show last month.
One of them was the all new 1007. It actually was introduced exactly 2 years ago as a concept car. And the production model is about the same. It took them a while…
At about the size of a Mini Cooper, the 1007 looks more like a shrunk Minivan than a car. On that picture, it even looks like a fun toy.
But that shapes makes it much, much roomier than the Mini.
The genius idea, is the use of the sliding “Minivan type” doors on a small city car. It makes all the sense in the world. How come no one thought of this before???? And they are both electric!
Notice the pretty girl (probably some swedish model) posing as an average French mom…
Well… Somebody got scared when they decided to design the interior. It’s not bad, but not nearly as inventive as the exterior.
And it really pales next to the Smart cars… ( You can still ad colors and trim for an extra $300)
Oh.. By the way. We’ll never be able to get this in the US.
