New Buick GL8 Avenir Minivan

The Buick GL8 has been a very popular model for GM in China. For a long time.
Buick has just updated the current generation, and added this super luxurious "Avenir" top of the line version.
Which really seem like a first class private jet inside.
Where all seas seems like thrones.

Apparently the engine is just the regular 2.0 Liter 4 cylinder with about 230HP.
With such luxury, it seems the 3.6 Liter V6 would have been a better choice...

Minivans remind me of awful long distance road trips with the family, something I don't want to relive. If I was going to get a van, however, this might be it. Great looking....for a van.

Considering the chaos and economic pain that is occurring, what say you if GM has their hand out again? I find seeing GM of China stuff offensive.

The US didn't bail them out the last time for stuff like this.

The GM of China stuff is for the Chinese market. It looks like most Chinese consumers have a very different taste as far as design goes. And GM is just trying to appeal to that. These cars usually stay in China and are not offered in the US. So I don't really care...

All other car makers too the same thing. The try to figure who likes what. Buick is extremely popular in China and a big money maker for GM. The more cars they sell in China the less they will need another bailout...
