The top picture is the trunk of the new Hybrid version.
As you can see, Subaru never intended for that platform to us all these batteries.
And the trunk area is really compromised.
Plus it costs over $35 000! For a tiny 17 miles of EV range…
Not really sure who this is for in the first place…
I been told by an older sales guy that it now the trend to push hybrids by the car manufacturers to meet their emissions standards. He is under pressure to sell at least 25% of his cars to be some sort of EVs. Ugh!
