Aston Martin DBX Vs- Ford Escape

Last Updated:

Just a few years ago, many Ford designs seemed to have been influenced by Aston Martin. Mostly the grille.
Now….
Except for the grille, that new DBX looks nothing like an Aston Martin. It could be anything.
Even a Ford.
Except the DBX will probably end up costing about 10 times (1000%) more than the Escape…

  1. That's the problem with crossovers – there's not much you can do to be different with the "utility" shape.

  2. No platform sharing on new models after Ford sold Jaguar Land Rover to Tata Motors in 2008.

Although I can't blame you for thinking that based on the photos. The two vehicles are amazingly similar!

  3. The Urus manages to have a sports look to it. Think it is just lazy design from sports car manufacturers. They are catering for the masses over the style.

  4. DBX does look like the new Escape but the interior is ultra luxurious and got to be larger too! Powertrain got to be more powerful too. Aston Martin does not make compact size crossovers! This one got to the size of a new X5 or GLE!

  5. It looks like a cross between the Jaguar F-Pace and Escape. The proportions aren't even close to the Escape though. Hard to say it doesn't look like an Aston Martin though, when Aston has never had an SUV in their lineup before. SUVs have to have a certain architecture that makes them practical as well. Can't wait to see what Ferrari comes up with.

    No shit, Harry Mild…
