2020 Hyundai Palisade pricing

I also posted the Kia Telluride prices.
And it is quite amazing to see they are almost priced exactly the same. (Although the Kia has more trims)

The Hyundai/Kia prices are fine. But nothing really cheaper than the competition.
The Telluride has been getting mostly great reviews lately.
I am sure the Palisade will get the same praises.
But I don't really see the point of 2 models that compete with each other.
One is not sportier than the other. Or more luxurious.

Is the Kia supposed to be the sporty one?

Of course, designs and interiors are totally different. But they don't really have very different personalities...
Sure, GM does that with the Traverse and Enclave.
But they are in different price segments.

The Telluride and Palisade cost the same.

Cannot wait to see how theses compare to the updated Explorer and Hylander, the market leaders for this class. I an leaning towards the Explorer ST or the Titanium because of the bigger engine!

Of the two, I'd take the Kia because it's cheaper and doesn't have that huge grill with that massive trim around it.

I have been seeing tons of Tellurides and they look great. Basically what the Cadillac XT6 should have been.

The Hyundai styling doesn't work as well and strays into weird. I don't think it will be as successful.

To me, the Telluride is the conservative (and more attractive) choice. The Palisade is for those who like more more adventurous (and a little bizarre) styling.

Interesting that they chose to drop the Palisade Ultimate trim. Seems like they are going to drop that moniker all around soon in preparation for the Genesis GV70 and GV80 (don't want overlap do we!)

Also interesting that you cannot get power folding mirrors on the top trim Palisade. Quite a few of the competitors offer them.
