2020 Ford Maverick?

Last Updated:

Looks like Ford might pick the name “Maverick” for their new small SUV.
Which until now was known by its nickname “baby Bronco”.

The new model will be positioned below the Escape. (Which is also all-new next year)

Why not. I guess this looks like it could appeal to people who are into that old fashion SUV look. Like the old Jeep Cherokee.
The new RAV4 is also more trucky looking, without being a truck. So maybe that’s a trend these days.

Seems like Ford will be trying to offer every kind of SUV possible. Some more car like, some trucky looking, and some EVs.

  1. I think it looks great, but Ford should retire the nameplate. Anyone old enough to remember the original Maverick from the 70s knows what I mean. Cheap and nasty.

  2. I like the look of the bigger vehicle behind the “Little Bronco” in silhouette! Looks like a G Wagon! If it has the same interiors or similar, it is mine!

  3. They are wrong. The middle picture shows the outline of the Bronco being the Maverick (Or whatever they'll call it)

  4. The silhouette (behind the side profile of the orange SUV) is that of the full size 4 door "Bronco".

The orange and blue vehicles are that of the "Baby Bronco/Maverick that's as big as the Escape. This vehicle has no tire on the back, whereas the full-size Bronco carriers one.
