Buick Velite 6

GM just unveiled a brand new model called the Velite 6 for the Chinese market. Where it will be sold as a Buick.
The first picture on top show both versions. The plug-in hybrid as well as the pure EV.
This is the production version of the 2016 concept in the picture bellow.

Not sure yet, but it must share a platform with the Volt. And powertrains with the Volt and Bolt.

I think this is a great idea for Buick. And should really be offered in the US as well.
As a Buick or Chevrolet.

More on this very soon...

Aww the headlights are crying because it's so ugly.

Grill a bit like the departing Corolla hatch. Other than that, looks good.

The 2016 Buick Velite concept was beautiful. But this production Velite 6 is a letdown.

A couple of years of use is going to destroy those back doors if you regularly use gravel road.

Leave it as a Buick, they need an EV to get people into their showrooms too. But I would change it to something catchy like Elektra.

Is it just me or does this look like an Astra wagon?

If the Velite 6 and Enspire Concept represent the future of the automobile, then I am definitely not interested in the future! Awkward looking space pods with hideous roof treatments that look like reject prop vehicles from a limited budget science fiction movie are completely unattractive to me! Ugh!
