2019 Citroen Berlingo

Last Updated:

PSA has just released pictures of the all new Berlingo. Which is the Citroen version of this small cargo van also sold under the Peugeot and Opel brands.
I guess the Citroen one is a little bit “funkier” and less conservative than the other two.
(They are basically all the same except the front end, some trim and maybe the dashboard.)
This looks really nice. It is in the same segment as the popular Ford transit connect. And the Ram Promaster City (Which is actually a Fiat truck in  Europe)
So it would work here as well. (If they sold Citroen in the US that is…)
It is now available in 2 versions. One about 10 inches longer than the other. Just like the Ford transit connect.
And that super cool “Modutop” glass roof is a new option.
On another note, I wonder why Nissan has never offered a passenger version like these for its small NV200.
I test drove one a few years ago, and though it was  fine. A cool camping/passenger version would be really nice. (I guess now, after 8 years, it would be time for an all new one anyway…)
They don’t even offer side windows on it….

  1. In Europe we have the passenger version of the NV200. It's available as a BEV as well. And New York City has is as a taxi.
