2018 Lexus LS

I have to say, this is a good surprise.
The big Lexus sedan is finally getting a healthy dose of style. Its own style.

Not trying to look like a big German sedan anymore. Which is great news.
The interior is also very original. I mean compare this to the total lack of style from Audi or BMW...

At least Lexus is trying something different here. And it ends up having a personality.
(It also makes the new Genesis G90 look like a 20 year old design)

For now at least, no more V8. It is replaced by an all new 3.5 Liter V6 Turbo with 415HP.
And it has a 10 speed auto.

There are many words that can be associated with the new Lexus LS. Style isn't one of them. This may very well be one of the ghastliest designs, inside and out, to ever see the light of day. Even the Pontiac Azrek is laughing.

massive plastic grill anyone? what an obtuse, grotesque mess!!!

It's a good looking car. The interior is a "Me too" interior. It's the dash layout from an s class with a Japanese twist

Messy exterior,great interior.

what's with the FRANKENSTEIN knobs on the upper dash behind the steering wheel. I guess the car was only made for the bride of Frankenstein to drive and enjoy.

They have 1 thing going for them above all else....this is the price AND SIZE of the LONG wheelbase 5-series or E-class (neither of which is available in North America.) And 2 things going against them.... the Hyundai G80 & G90.

Lots of Tesla in this one.

Once again I laugh at the design critics. It's not my ideal of perfect, but it's very nice.

I agree that this is much more original than BMW or Audi. Mercedes may still have the edge when it comes to tasteful class, though.

That exterior though! This is what a Cadillac or big Buick should look like! I see a bit of Lacrosse in the rear quarter view with the big shiny wheels of a Caddy on dubs. I'm glad someone has the balls to build this - didn't expect it to be Toyota!

Not original at all. Infiniti rear 3/4

"Lots of Tesla in this one"
What? Where? Are you high?

A lot of people are high. All the time.
It's getting to be a problem...

I forget, most Joe Car Dudes can't look past a grill, a little body sculpting and some headlight graphics. Of course there's Tesla in this. Other influences also, but huge Tesla. Google it.

"Google it."
Why can't you tell them right here? The burden of proof is on you,and only you.You made the claim, now prove it.

Wait... for the first time in over 25 years, the LS has a V6? And looks more like a Camry than a Lexus? I thought the Infiniti Q70 was ugly, but this just stole its crown.

Google what? There isn't a single line here that resembles a Tesla. This overdesigned mess is a conventional car capped with warped nightmarish plastic that looks like it was designed by Salvadore Dali. The Model S is an incredibly clean design. And a hatchback, by the way.
