Ford Escape Spy shots

Not sure what Ford is testing here.
But these pictures of a "still" camouflaged Ford Escape were taken just a couple of days ago in California.
Strange since it seems to be a regular 2017 model.
That' we've already all seen.

It really seems to be the same thing.
They are obviously still testing something. Just not sure what.

What's going on here?
What do you think?

It's only a couple years until an all new Escape. Maybe they're testing the drivetrain for the next generation

In metro Detroit it is common for old camouflaged vehicles to run around even after the new products are on the street. Has to be scrapped when finished with it, may as well wheel around for a bit longer.

Hybrid.

I can't believe how many RAV4 Hyrbrids I've seen on the roads...Ford was silly to give up on the original Escape Hybrid.

Is it just me, or has the entire Ford lineup gotten really long in tooth? Hopefully when they do update the product line it will be significantly better like GM and not a sideways, why'd they do that move like Hyun-Kia.
