2017 Honda Civic Hatchback

We are supposed to see a "concept" version of the new Civic hatchback at the Geneva auto show, very soon. (which will have some over sporty bits and stuff)
But this is supposed to be the production version for the US.
Still looking quite nice. And ready to do battle with the aging Ford Focus over here.

Although, that "Honda seal of quality" has been tarnished a bit with a recall of all 2016 Civic sedans due to possible engine failure. Which is pretty bad...

A hatchback version of the new Elantra is also due out pretty soon.
And the new Cruze hatchback looks to be a serious contender.

Still, it's good to finally see the Civic Hatch back in the US...

(Thanks for this to a reader from Torrance)

That's hideous.

I must be the only person on earth who doesn't think the new Civic is a good looking car. I didn't like it in pictures, and now that I'm seeing the sedans on the road I like them even less. I remember when Honda's tagline was "We make it Simple." These new designs are anything but simple. These things are an over-styled mess to my eye.

No, you aren't the only one. The thing I find funny is that the sedan has a very similar rearwindow slope to it, just a longer body-section behind the glass than this car. They could have saved a lot of trouble and just made the sedan a 5dr car and be done with it.

Lovely looking. Honda will see tons of it. I can't wait for the SI.

i like the sedan and this hatchback might be very good looking car, but i need more photos from all angles. It is ok to dislike it, not everybody likes the same exact thing.

Nice design. Will only add further success to the already amazing Civic line.

I love the new civic, this thing on the other hand look hideous but at the same time it looks extremely photoshopped. I doubt this is the real thing.

Hideous. Should've called it the Civic Crosstour.

This is the first hatch/sedan combo in which I prefer the "sedan"! The sedan already looks like a hatch and the hatch looks just like the sedan minus usable space, like the trunk was simply deleted. Is there any useable space behind the back seat?

This photo is part of the confusion of some. How many cars do you usually look at from a vantage point of two feet above ground?

Very decent looking. Beats the hell out of any GM has to offer.

Looks good, bring on the 6mt/1.5 already.
