Fiat Toro Pick up

Last Updated:

This is, so far, for Brazil.
But we all know it could end up as a small Ram pick up in the US. (Or not?)

So far it looks OK. Not sure how big this is but it probably is smaller than the Colorado.
Which could be really nice. And cheaper.

We’ll know more very soon.

  1. 193 inches in lenght. According to Fiat, It's a "medium compact" truck, Because here in Brazil the medium trucks ( Hilux, Ranger, Frontier) are too big and the small ones ( Fiat has one, the Fiat Strada, sold in Mexico as Ram 750) are too small. So, Fiat will make this one to fit in the gap. It will have all the underpinnings of the local made Jeep Renegade, including the 2.0 liter diesel with 170hp.

  2. It's said to be a 4,91m 1 ton truck….

So probably more usable than at first glance, though they stress passenger comfort, so probably the bed is short by US standards….

  3. Looks like the size of the original S10 or Ranger or B2000 – and that's a good thing…There is a market for this; bring it to North America.

  4. They should sell it in North America as a Fiat. That brand's in a rut right now, this pickup would redefine them.

Fiat's strategy of having every car look like a 500 isn't working. It leads to the expectation that all Fiats should sell for 500-like prices, and the cars look like cheap copies of the real 500.

  5. It has 4,91 meters long.
And it is smaller than Ford Ranger, GM Colorado/S-10, Nissan Frontier, VW Amarok and Mitsubishi L200 Triton.
Its going to fight with the New Renault Duster Oroch, which is even smaller than Fiat Toro.

  6. this type of truck, with a decent size box would sell great in NA especially Canada. Key is box has to be at least 6 feet.

  7. Manufactureres need to pay more attention to this genre or mutant vehicle. Properly designed ( i.e NOT by Subaru ) this type vehicle would hold great potential in the US.
