2017 Kia Sportage

Just a few more pictures before it becomes official.

Still, I really like the current design and I will miss it.
Especially the very distinctive chrome by the C-pillar. Now it is more generic.
A bit more muscular and grown up maybe.

But basically a diluted version of the current excellent design. With a weird overly busy front end…

  1. yes i love the current design better…they f'ed up on this one..making it too busy on the front end..less is more baby..i'll cringe when i see this on the road.

  2. It looks like what the Tribeca should have been. Especially on the back, which is the best part of the car. This is probably the first car I've ever seen where I am already looking forward to see the facelift before the var itself even came out. The back of the car is nice – very sleek and simple – and even though the distinctive c-pillar is gone now, the side profile still says Sportage to me.

On a side note: Don`t you agree that this design shows, how flexible the tiger-nose design is?! I love Schreyer`s work for Kia. Especially the Optima, Sorento and Sportage. I wonder in how far Luc Donckerwolke will succeed in developing both Kia`s and Hyundai`s design further, without using such contradictory design themes as he did at his time at Seat and Lamborghini.
